Please accept this email as a reminder of the SWVA SHRM chapter meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. A request for the zoom link can be sent to vlee@mecc.edu. 

On this date, the membership will be having a network discussion on current issues.  Please be reminded of the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (BASK) that will guide our discussions.  Six knowledge domains create the center of the standards. These are: 1) Leadership, 2) Interpersonal, 3) Business, 4) People, 5) Workplace, and 6) Organization. Under these SHRM BASK domains are the KSAOs (knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics) that HR professionals possess.

So we can support our development in the BASK competencies, when you bring up a topic to discuss on Tuesday at the chapter meeting, please identify under which domain or KSAO one can find this topic.  The KSAOs are numerous, but I would like to display them here so you can prepare for identification.  An attachment also gives a narrative of each domain.
