Remote Management Help Has Arrived

The Southwest Virginia Technology Development Center is offering a workshop titled, Managing Telecommuters and Virtual Teams. This class is going to be held on Friday, March 23 and Friday, March 30 from 8:30 to 4:40 daily. Click here to learn more, and to register.

This workshop will teach skills to help managers build rapport with team members that stand the test of distance. Participants will learn techniques to adapt their current skills to lead in virtual and remote situations. The instructors will demonstrate technologies that can be used to support virtual teams. Participants in this workshop will explore project management in a virtual world and the available online tools for managing successful projects including Google Apps, zoho project, Basecamp, and various open source tools.
