Human Resources Position Open

    The University of Virginia’s College at Wise invites applications for an HR Recruitment Specialist, R0047138 in the Office of Human Resources.  Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position will primarily support the department in its faculty and staff recruiting efforts.  Duties include creating job requisitions in the HR system; placing employment ads in appropriate sources; ensuring the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process; scheduling and participating in faculty and staff interviews; meeting with search committees; participating in the department’s onboarding process; and other duties as assigned.

    A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with experience working in one or more human resource areas, preferably employee recruitment.  Bachelor's degree with at least two years of exempt-level experience, or a Master's degree with at least one year of exempt-level experience. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills; the ability to provide exceptional customer service; and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
