    All companies strive for employee engagement, performance, and retention but are often disappointed in their results in these areas. That’s because 80% of employees who Meet Expectations think they are Exceeding. 

    This interactive workshop offers a practical approach with a template to use as an alternative to traditional performance appraisals that managers often hate to give - and employees hate to receive. Attendees learn and practice with the template to set clear expectations and help employees better understand what exceeds, meets, or is unacceptable performance behavior in their job.

    This information also helps when interviewing, onboarding, offering feedback, and developing career paths. Performance Appraisals look back - when nothing can be done. However, job expectations look forward, providing clear direction so employees have better results, both personally and for the company.

    Workshop participants learn:

    1. The need for, and the benefits of, giving feedback to employees.

    2. Why Performance Appraisals often fail.

    3. How and Why Job Expectations offer greater feedback. 

    4. Practice creating a sample Job Expectation.
