Building Mental Fitness: Thriving as a Leader in Challenging Times
The more mentally fit we are — as individuals and as teams — the better equipped we are to navigate the stress, anxiety, and frustration that arise in both our professional and personal lives. Mental fitness impacts everything from how we lead and collaborate with colleagues and clients to how we show up at home with our partners, children, and communities.
It’s also a key driver of happiness, resilience, and performance — both individually and collectively. Yet research shows that 80% of people fall below the minimum level of mental fitness required for optimal performance and fulfillment.
The good news: like physical fitness, mental fitness can be built with consistent practice. And when teams grow their mental fitness together, they build a culture of empathy, agility, and aligned action.
Just as sailors train to weather unpredictable seas, high-performing teams and leaders must strengthen their inner capacity to navigate change, pressure, and uncertainty.
In this session, we’ll explore:
- The 3 core muscles at the root of mental fitness
- How individuals and teams tend to sabotage their performance, collaboration, and even well-being
- Strategies & practices to build mental muscles and learn to intercept and redirect Saboteur thought and actions
