The 2019 first quarter meeting for Southwest Virginia SHRM will be hosted by Curtis Lawyer, Business Development Executive with MedCost Virginia. During his educational presentation on Understanding Self-Funded Health Plans, participants will:
1. identify the main components of a self-funded health plan, comparing and contrasting to fully insured plans
2. Learn important health plan terminology
3. Gain an actionable understanding of fundamental cost drivers and cost containment strategies.
